LEARN TO LIFT
Our bodies respond very well to weighted exercises - improving both muscle and bone density, regulating blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and expending calories to strengthen and repair muscle fibres. Strength is a key part of fitness, and gives you a greater sense of physical competence, helping you feel ready for anything that life throws your way.
Build is a group training session that introduces you to the fundamentals of resistance training to work all the major muscle groups in the body. You'll be able to practice a range of exercises under the supervision of a highly qualified trainer, in carefully planned session formats - so all you need to do is turn up ready to lift to the best of your ability.
Resistance training is highly recommended for both men and women of all ages as part of a balanced training regime and should be consistently performed 1-2 times per week for an extensive period of time (3-6 months) to see tangible results.
Sessions last at least 50 minutes and take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings.
If you're brand new to training but want to get into strength training you may need to build your confidence with some 1-2-1 sessions before you jump into a group training environment where opportunities for in-depth coaching are limited.
